Guðbjörn Sverrir Hreinsson's 10 year old son has been banned from competing in dancesport events for three months following his participation in non-WDSF events in London last October. 7 other under age couples and 1 couple over the age 18 were also banned.

WDSF have also banned other  competitors for dancing in none WDSF events including a World Championship at Disney Paris
